Part-Time Project Manager

Are you a detail-oriented Project Manager looking for part-time hours with the possibility of transitioning to a full-time role? We have a great opportunity in the Madison area for a Project Manager who will work with center staff, internal stakeholders, and external third-party contacts to create and maintain project plans, track issues and escalate risks to support the mission of producing and publishing new content. 

What you’ll do:

  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders, vendor members, keeping all parties informed of progress and next steps
  • Working closely with the Physician lead, create and maintain schedules for process mapping creation and review
  • Create diagrams as necessary for explaining concepts using online tools or Visio
  • Identify risks and escalate internally and with third parties to drive resolution
  • Monitor and update center budgets
  • Assist in planning for executive-level meetings
  • Manage the website; must have good editing skills and familiarity with editing website content
  • Be the team lead; keep team on project task timeline, confidence to escalate issues appropriately within team
  • Meeting coordination and facilitation; detailed note keeping from meetings

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Engineering, Nursing, Mathematics or related field
  • Three years of project management work experience
  • Preferred – Experience in healthcare and managing clinical EMR related projects 
  • Preferred – Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or equivalent
  • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project, program, and portfolio management techniques and tools
  • Ability to be concise in own communication and ability to concisely summarize other people's points, as well as summarizing articles
  • Ability to apply systems thinking, identify interdependencies and implications of change, and generate alignment across related initiatives and stakeholders
  • Effective analytical ability to develop and analyze options, recommend solutions to and solve complex problems and issues
  • Ability to identify and execute methods for evaluating project performance and facilitate data collection and reporting
  • Advanced Excel skills is a plus as well as knowledge of Google sheets
  • Be a continuous learner and ability to think and solve strategically
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
